A reason to reach out, so relationships keep moving

Most tools just file people away in a contact list, and that's where it ends. bontie remembers what matters about each contact, tells you when there's a real reason to get back in touch, and drafts the opening line for you.

Coming soon to the App Store and Google Play

iOS and Android. Available in Traditional Chinese and English.

Today

3 worth doing first

  • Connected in the last 24 hours

Lin Pin-Hsuan · Investment Manager, Shengshi Ventures

While it's still fresh, put the two topics you actually discussed into the first message

  • Started a new role

Chen Yen-Ting · Head of Product, Hongyu Tech

Lead with congratulations to reopen contact. Don't pitch this time.

  • 92 days without contact

    Sarah Chen · Consultant, Northbridge

Open with the conference she mentioned last time. Give her something useful, then ask.

You added everyone. Now what?

Relationships don't usually lapse because you didn't want to reach out. They lapse for three specific reasons.

  • The details go first

The company, the title, the mutual friend, the thing they were worried about: all clear at the time, all gone two weeks later. By the time you reach out, you have nothing to say.

  • Without a reason, there's no opening

"How have you been?" does almost nothing at work. Without a concrete reason, your message reads like a pitch, and interrupting a busy person is expensive.

  • Nothing tells you when it's time

Relationships fade slowly. No particular day announces that this one is about to lapse, and by the time you remember, it's been too long.

The scarce thing in professional relationships isn't the wording. It's the opening: a concrete reason to reach out today that doesn't feel intrusive. Finding it is what bontie is for.

How bontie works

Four features, one job: getting you there at the right moment with the right thing to say.

Today

Open the app and you get a short list of what to do first today: the 24 hours after you connect, a contact's new role, a gap longer than the cadence you set. Every item tells you why it's now.

Contact memory

Turns what you've recorded into usable detail: what they care about, how you met, where the last conversation left off. You reuse it in the next message instead of leaving it in a notes field.

Capture and import

Drop in a LinkedIn profile screenshot, or photograph a business card or badge, and the name, company, title, industry and what they work on fill themselves in. Text recognition runs on your own phone.

The bontie keyboard

Pull up a draft inside LINE, email, or any other app, with no switching back to copy and paste. It asks what you want to say, not what tone you want to use.

Some of what you give bontie belongs to other people

Contact details, interaction history, the profile screenshots and card images you upload: most of this isn't only your data, it's your contacts' data too. So we spell out how we handle it here, instead of burying it in terms nobody reads.

Your data isn't our product
We don't sell, rent or trade your data. We don't use your contact data for ad targeting, and we don't build a cross-user graph out of it.
The keyboard doesn't log keystrokes
The bontie keyboard needs iOS Full Access to generate drafts. It only sends content when you ask for a draft, and it doesn't record what you type in the background.
Retention periods we can actually name
Screenshots and images you upload are deleted automatically after 180 days by default, files included. The privacy policy lists what we keep and for how long, including what has no automatic deletion schedule yet.
We name our AI providers
All model calls go through a single gateway, and the privacy policy names the downstream providers and what each one is used for. Text recognition on screenshots and cards happens on your device.

Common questions

Who is bontie for?
People whose work moves through relationships: business development, recruiting, account and project management, marketing partnerships, and anyone who simply wants to keep a professional network alive. It assumes you want long-term relationships, not one-off list building.
How is this different from a CRM?
A CRM records what already happened: you fill the fields, you set the reminders. bontie works the other way around. It finds a reason to reach out in what you've already recorded, puts it on today's list, and drafts the message.
Can I send what the AI writes as-is?
Read it first. AI gets things wrong, and it can write things that don't match your actual relationship. bontie produces drafts; the judgement and the responsibility before you hit send are yours.
Can I store my clients' details in it?
You are responsible for the third-party data you enter, including whether you have a lawful basis to collect and use it. bontie won't use your contact data for anything other than providing the service to you, and won't link it across users. See the privacy policy.
How do I cancel a subscription?
Subscriptions are managed by Apple or Google. Cancel in the App Store or Google Play subscription settings and renewal stops at the end of the current period. Refunds follow each platform's policy.

Don't let the next introduction end in your address book

bontie keeps the details, and tells you when there's a reason to use them.
