Account & data deletion

Path: open bontie → Profile → Settings → Delete account.

After two confirmations, your account, profile, contacts, interaction history, drafts, AI generation logs, and the screenshots and card images you uploaded (including the stored files themselves) are deleted from our systems immediately, and you are signed out.

Deletion cannot be undone, and we cannot recover it for you. The same email address can register again afterwards, but that will be a new, empty account — no previous data is restored.

Cancel your subscription first

Deleting your bontie account does not stop billing — subscriptions are managed by Apple or Google, so cancel in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings.

Ask for a copy first if you want one

After deletion we have nothing left to export to you.

• Your account and sign-in identifiers.
• Your profile: display name, company, title, industry, self-introduction, work history and preferences.
• Every contact you created, including avatars and the original images you uploaded.
• Interaction history, AI assistant conversations, drafts and your edited versions.
• Screenshots, images and other material you uploaded, including the stored files themselves.
• The portion of the AI generation logs associated with your account, including the text you entered and the output the model produced.
• Push tokens and device identifiers.

The following may be retained after your account is deleted.

Records required by law

Transaction and tax records, for example, kept for the period applicable law requires.

Subscription and payment records

Subscriptions are managed by Apple, Google and RevenueCat; their retention follows those services' policies and is unaffected by deleting your bontie account.

De-identified aggregate statistics

Usage events are retained to compute aggregate figures such as daily active users, but the device identifier and IP address on them are cleared when you delete your account, so they can no longer be linked back to you.

System backups

Data in backups ages out on the normal backup rotation schedule.

If you can no longer sign in, or no longer have bontie installed, email us from the address you registered with, using the subject line "Delete account and data". So we can confirm the request is genuinely yours, include the email address your account uses. We will complete the request within thirty days and confirm by email.
